The future of technology includes metaverses, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR ). For this reason, the most important technology companies in the world are already working on these concepts for all users in the world.
Google is no stranger to this new technology and its Project Iris (AR and VR glasses) are developed with the aim of being the main devices in this area.

Although they already have the original Google Glass, their AR glasses for the business sector, these tools will not have the privacy problems that limited their predecessor’s sale to very few markets.
Faced with this, the firm acquired North, an AR technology developer company Focals, and created an operating system based on augmented reality.
This new device would be launched in 2024 and would have a higher performance than the Oculus of Meta (Facebook) and the Daydream VR.
These models will not be open like Google Glass and, instead, they would have a closed format with a small screen, as well as an external camera that will be in charge of showing the person who uses them everything around them.

What are the new features of Project Iris?
- They will have an internal battery for greater comfort and durability when using them.
- They will integrate a Tensor processor created by Google.
- They are expected to launch with Project Starline, Google’s 3D video conferencing display that simulates facing another person.
- They will take advantage of data in the cloud.
