The email hosting service Gmail announced that it will soon be possible to make video calls from the same app without having to leave the application or have to enter Google Meet. This new function will save time in the user experience and will be available on iOS and Android.
The purpose of this new system is for people to connect with each other in a post-pandemic hybrid work era. As we know, things have changed and many companies provide new functions so that their users better adapt to the new needs they have.

HOW TO USE
To see voice or video call options you will have to go to the upper right corner of the Gmail application, and in turn, you can send messages to colleagues or friends from the chat tab.
Gmail calls will emit a distinctive ring. On the other hand, missed calls will be highlighted in an icon that will appear to each contact in the chat list.
It should be noted that this function (video calls) will only be available in individual chats, so if it is something in a group, the contact will transfer it directly to Google Meet.
Likewise, it can be used as long as both people have the latest version of Gmail installed, both on Android and iOS.
This function is being developed now and it is expected that it will soon be available to all users and facilitate the work system that has changed in all parts of the world so that documents can be shared, discussed and tasks managed in real-time and from the same space.
