After a disagreement with the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, two top ministers in the British government have decided to quit their positions. Both the Minister of Finance, Rishi Sunak, and the Minister of Health, Sajid Javid, have resigned, which has resulted in considerable pressure being placed on the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Boris Johnson is being accused of making a number of remarks that are at odds with one another. A vote on Mr. Johnson’s future was put to the people a few days ago in a referendum. On his Twitter account, Health Minister Sajid Javid issued a message announcing his resignation and stating that he had discussed the matter with the Prime Minister. Javed also tweeted that he had resigned.
Mr. Javid expressed his disappointment at having to make the announcement, saying, “It was a fantastic chance for me to occupy this job, but I hate to declare that I cannot continue.” In addition, the Minister of Finance, Rishi Sunak, said in a statement that was published on his Twitter account that the people desired government issues to be handled professionally and with due regard.
Mr. Sunak said, “I think this is my final job as a minister, but I think these problems need to be battled because of them which lead me to quit.” In other words, he believes that he is leaving his position as a minister for the last time.
