Two from the PAN and one from Morena These are the best approved ‘gobers’

The most popular governors today are the PAN member Mauricio Vila, from Yucatan; the morenista Rubén Rocha, from Sinaloa, and the pianist Mauricio Kuri, from Querétaro, according to a survey carried out by telephone in the 32 entities of the country, between April 20 and May 1.

According to the study, Vila obtains a 62 percent approval rating for his work; Rocha, 61 percent, and Kuri, 57 percent.

With approval levels between 54 and 56 percent appear Ricardo Gallardo, from the PVEM, in San Luis Potosí; the brunette Evelyn Salgado, in Guerrero; the also morenista Miguel Ángel Navarro, in Nayarit; the PAN member María Eugenia Galván, in Chihuahua, and the morenista Lorena Cuéllar, in Tlaxcala.

In Coahuila, Miguel Ángel Riquelme obtains 51 percent approval, while Claudia Sheinbaum, in Mexico City , appears with 50 percent ; Alfonso Durazo, in Sonora, and Marina del Pilar, in Baja California.

The morenista Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío, from Baja California Sur, as well as the PAN member Martín Orozco Sandoval, from Aguascalientes, have 49 percent approval each.

In a block with approval between 44 and 46 percent are the PRI member Alejandro Murat, from Oaxaca; the PAN member José Rosas Aispuro, from Durango; the emecist Samuel García, from Nuevo León; the morenista Layda Sansores, from Campeche, and the PAN-PRD alliance member, Carlos Joaquín González, from Quintana Roo.

In Tamaulipas, PAN member Francisco Javier García Cabeza de Vaca obtains 41 percent approval. Three governors appear with 40 percent: the morenistas Rutilio Escandón, from Chiapas, and Cuitláhuac García, from Veracruz, as well as the PAN member Diego Sinhue Rodríguez, from Guanajuato.

With 39 percent approval in the survey, four governors appear. Three of them are of Morenista affiliation: Indira Vizcaíno, from Colima; Miguel Barbosa, from Puebla, and Carlos Merino, from Tabasco. The other is the PRI member Omar Fayad, from Hidalgo.

The morenista Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla has 37 percent approval in Michoacán, one point above the PRI Alfredo del Mazo in the State of Mexico, with 36 percent, and two above the emecista Enrique Alfaro, in Jalisco.

The two governors with the least popular support in their states are Cuauhtémoc Blanco, with 30 percent in Morelos, and the morenista David Monreal, with 28 percent in Zacatecas.

The overall approval rating for governors in the country is 46 percent. This is 12 points below the level of approval obtained by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador if the average is made in the 32 entities.

For the federal president, his home state, Tabasco, is where he has the highest support, with 78 percent, while Aguascalientes is where he has the least approval, with 40 percent.

Methodology: Surveys were conducted in the 32 states to a total of 13,900 adult Mexicans from April 20 to May 1, 2022. The interviews were conducted by telephone in two modalities, personal interviews (44%) and robotic calls. (56%). A probabilistic sampling of residential and cell phones was used in each of the 32 entities. The number of interviews per state ranged from 400 to 600. At a 95% confidence level, the estimated margin of error ranges from +/- 4.0% to +/- 4.8%.
