Netflix hasn’t had many things to celebrate lately, but with ‘Welcome to Eden’ it has had great joy since the Spanish series became the most-watched of all Netflix during the week following its premiere. It was a matter of time before a second season became official and it is now that the platform has decided to announce it.
An indisputable success
And it is that the first season of ‘Welcome to Eden’ already has almost 117 million hours played since its premiere on May 6. Some data that does not reach the height of ‘The paper house’ and ‘Elite’, the two great Spanish bombshells of the platform, but they are very good and the strange thing would have been that Netflix left the series hanging.
In addition, the signings of two actors for the second season have been confirmed. Nona Sobo, the actress who plays José Coronado‘s granddaughter in ‘Entrevías’, and Carlos Torres, one of the protagonists of ‘La Reina del Flow’, will be the main additions to the cast.
For their part, Amaia Aberasturi, Amaia Salamanca , Belinda Peregrín, Berta Castañé, Lola Rodríguez, Sergio Momo, Begoña Vargas, Tomy Aguilera, Guillermo Pfening, Diego Garisa, Lucía Guerrero, Carlos Soroa, Dariam Coco and Irene Dev will return to the characters they played in the first batch of episodes of the Netflix series.
Now there is the question of when we will be able to see the second season, but it seems that filming has already started, so we will likely see it more or less a year after the release of the first.
