This Sunday, the State of Mexico reported an increase of 10 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state, bringing the total number of infected to 35, in addition to the fact that there are 42 suspected cases and 144 have tested negative.

After the first case was released in the state on March 6, seven of the infected remain hospitalized, with a stable health report, while 27 more are in home isolation.

Gabriel O’Shea Cuevas, state secretary of Health, although he asked the population to participate in measures to prevent new infections, such as the National Day of Sana Distance , convened through social networks by federal health authorities.

In addition, he called on the Mexican population to abide by hygiene instructions, such as washing hands, adopting a sneeze, not touching your face, eyes, nose or mouth if symptoms occur.

The official stressed the importance of families staying at home, limiting exits to public spaces, since the objective of suspending non-essential activities is to prevent the spread of the disease.

He also stressed the importance of protecting people with chronic degenerative diseases and older adults, so he urges to provide the necessary support to this sector of the population, avoiding physical contact and maintaining a distance of 1.5 meters, helping them with purchases of food and provisions.

Last Thursday, the municipality of Toluca reported that it will implement a 100-day plan before phase II of the coronavirus contingency in the country. Some emerging possibilities were considered, such as suspending the payment of some taxes and promoting local trade.
