Does your PC use Windows 10 and you don’t know how to lower the brightness of the screen? You are in the right place. In this note, we will tell you how to lower the brightness of your computer screen if you use Windows 10.

For some people, excessive brightness on their computer screen can even cause headaches or migraines, especially when they are in dimly lit places, an annoyance that increases in those who suffer from vision problems, such as myopia.

To lower the brightness on your Windows 10 PC, you will first need to select the action centre located on the right side of the taskbar, and then move the Brightness slider to adjust the brightness.

It should be noted that there are some computers that allow Windows to automatically adjust the brightness of the screen in relation to the lighting conditions of the space. If you want to know if your computer is compatible with this tool, select Settings > System > Display. Under Brightness and colour, find the Automatically change brightness when lighting changes check box and then select it to use this feature.

This handy automatic brightness setting will help ensure your screen is always readable wherever you are. However, keep in mind that even if this tool is activated, you can always adjust the brightness level manually.

If the Brightness slider doesn’t appear on your PC or isn’t working, Microsoft recommends that you follow these steps to update the display control so you can adjust the brightness on your computer: ” in the taskbar search box, type Device Manager, and then select Device Manager from the list of results. In Device Manager, select Display adapters, and then select the display adapter. Long-press (or right-click) the name of the adapter to display, and then select Update driver and follow the instructions.

Remember that it is always recommended that at least half an hour before going to sleep you stop seeing the blue screens, that is, those of your cell phones, tablets or computers.
