The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been postponed by half due to the spread of corona among players. The rest of the series since then is currently set to launch today in the United Arab Emirates. In today’s first match, Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings will take on Rohit-led Mumbai Indians.
Chennai, who have played 7 matches in the series so far, are second with 5 wins and 10 points. Speaking about the second part of the IPL series, Chennai coach Stephen Plumbing said:
It will be a good experience as all the players are currently playing a lot of cricket in the Caribbean League and international cricket and are back in the IPL. Not only that but it will always be fun when we all play together. So we are looking forward to this series.
We are about to start this second half better again. It is noteworthy that Pluming said that we are going to start this second half thinking of this second half as another new series unlike the first half keeping in mind that we have to play with the same form we had in India and win.
