Although the trial that takes place in the state of Virginia, United States, between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard began recently, the cross accusations date back sometime. A few days ago a post made in 2016 by Lily-Rose Melody, the actor’s eldest daughter, went viral, where she talked about how her day-to-day was with her father. In the same line, she assured that those who knew him could give credit to her words. The post came amid Heard’s divorce lawsuit against the Pirates of the Caribbean star.
Although since May 5 the trial was forced to have a pause due to previous commitments of Judge Penney Azcarate and will resume next Monday the 16th, the Depp family is aware of what happened with the cause that led to his father to confront his ex-wife Amber Heard. Lily-Rose and Jack, 20 years old, both fruits of their relationship with the French singer Vanessa Paradis, were also mentioned during the actor’s statements in one of the first hearings where he referred to the relationship that the teenagers had with their now ex-partner.
Years ago Lily-Rose showed in a post the love she feels for her dad. In that case, she did it through a photograph of her when she was a baby as he held her for her first steps. “He is the sweetest, most loving person I know. He has been nothing but a wonderful father to me and my little brother,” she wrote. That time coincided with Amber’s first accusations of alleged acts of abuse and violence when she was married to the actor.
During the trial, Johnny had to talk about Amber’s relationship with her two children. As explained by the actor, her daughter – who is also an actor – did not maintain contact with the protagonist of Aquaman, and even reported that her partner involved the boys in a couple of discussions. “[He did it] way too often,” she said.
On the other hand, he maintained that the relationship between the actress and the boys was non-existent. “They, my children, my boys, are much smarter than me,” she assured. He also revealed that they ” refused to be near her “. She in turn made other shocking accusations about her ex’s attitude: “Amber had to have me there at all times, for her own needs.”
In the last part of the trial, the actress will resume her place on the stand to end her interrogation, and later, Judge Azcarate plans to hear the arguments of each of the parties and present her final arguments to issue a sentence.
The trial began on April 11 after a defamation lawsuit that Depp initiated against his ex-wife in March 2019. He claims financial compensation for the damage to his image after an opinion article he published in The Washington Post, where Without naming him, he spoke of different episodes of abuse and violence.
