If something demonstrated the film franchise of “Deadpool” is that he is not afraid to play with the established limits, a hallmark that apparently his star, Ryan Reynolds, wants to continue exploring in the following films.
This was confirmed by the actor during a question and answer session at the last San Diego Comic Con, when a fan asked him if at some point they would dare to explore the sexuality of Wade Wilson / Deadpool on the big screen.
I believe that this universe should represent and document the world as it is, really. The good thing about Deadpool is that we can do things that other superhero movies can not do, and that is one of them. It’s something I’d like to see more often, also through Wade and this universe, because it’s something we’re building. We have many tools at our disposal with which we can play.
This is not the first time that Reynolds advocates reflecting the fluidity of the bigmouth mercenary. He already did it at the beginning of the year when he pointed out that for him, Deadpool moved across a broad spectrum within the LGBT collective.
I think Deadpool is kind of fluid, you know? There is a lot of space for that. He is in love with Vanessa, is the love of his life and that is a key part of our history, and is the basis of everything that happens to him. in some way it exhibits these qualities throughout each film. He’s an unpredictable guy and as I said, he’s a bit fluid, I think.
