Justin Bieber spoke about the disease that paralyzed his face

The singer had to cancel shows due to health problems. This Friday he explained in a video the disease he suffers from.

Singer Justin Bieber published a video on his social networks on Friday in which you can see how the left side of his face is paralyzed after he announced the cancellation of some of his shows due to a health problem.

This week Bieber was to perform in Toronto but was forced to cancel three concerts scheduled for June. The artist used his social network this Thursday and Friday to explain that everything is due to a recommendation from his doctors. In addition, he explained that the paralysis is due to the fact that he suffers from a disease known as Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.

However, the famous singer did not clarify if he will cancel more concerts. On the networks, fans wonder what will happen to the next dates. Bieber’s team has also not said to what days the canceled events will be postponed.

In the video that he published this Friday, you can see the Canadian artist with difficulty speaking and also how one of his eyes moves in an exorbitant way. The video is accompanied by writing that says: “Important, please watch: I love you guys and keep me in your prayers.”

In the beginning, Justin Bieber tells that he suffers from a syndrome characterized by a painful rash around the ear, on the face, or in the mouth. This usually happens when the varicella-zoster virus infects a nerve in the head.

As explained by the Mayo Clinic in the United States, ” Ramsay Hunt syndrome is a consequence of the same virus that causes chickenpox. After chickenpox goes away, the virus still lives in the nerves. Years later, it can reactivate. When it does, it can affect your facial nerves.”

Prompt treatment of Ramsay Hunt syndrome can reduce the risk of complications, which can include permanent facial muscle weakness and deafness.

It is not the first time that Bieber goes to his social networks to talk about health. Two years ago he said that he was diagnosed with Lyme disease, which is a bacterial infection caused by a tick bite. Although some of the people who are diagnosed can cope with it with antibiotics in a short time, symptoms usually remain for years.

The disease has no cure and manifests itself with muscle and joint pain, fever, fatigue, chills, headaches, and swollen lymph nodes, and also spreads to the nervous system.
