AVALANCHE IN COLORADO Lines, Notes, and a Streaming Guide for Tonight’s Game 44 Between the Avalanche and the Canucks

Wednesday night, despite without their top defenseman, the Avalanche dominated Calgary. They jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead and never looked back. On Friday night, they’ll take on the Vancouver Canucks, hoping to extend their winning streak to four games.

Goalkeeper Alexandar Georgiev did his share, turning away 34 of 35 shots. For the previous three contests, he had served as Pavel Francouz’s backup. It looks like Georgiev will get the start in goal once again.

The morning skate brought excellent news, as Cale Makar participated. Even if the team said he wouldn’t participate, that’s a good sign that his ailment isn’t too bad. There will be a game in Seattle tomorrow, and he might perhaps play in it.

Avalanche Plays Its Best Game of the Series to Earn Sweep

The Canucks are “blowing it up” now that they’re 12 points out of a playoff berth. Having lost five of six, they may have to start again as a group.

Talks involving Bo Horvat and the Avalanche have not subsided. It’s unclear if they have the resources or the motivation to succeed.

The Avalanche would like not to lose their season series with Vancouver in four straight games. Even though Vancouver has won the previous two meetings, this will be the third and last time these two teams face off.
