The death toll from the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic rose to 23,529 worldwide on Thursday, 3,049 more than a day earlier, according to figures from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the China National Health Commission (NHC).

Spain is the fourth country with the most confirmed patients , with 56,188, and the second in the world with the most fatalities due to COVID-19, with 4,889.
