WhatsApp Web has many emojis available to its users. Specifically, it has 3,000 different emoticon options for you to use in your daily conversations. However, some of what it lacks is the Facebook Messenger ‘like’ button, which gives the possibility of responding to messages with a simple click and without having to enter the icon panels to look for it.
Fortunately, there is a way to enable this option in your WhatsApp desktop application. This trick is simple and will require you to add an extension to your Google Chrome browser. Are you interested? Read on to know the steps to follow.
How to activate the ‘like’ button on WhatsApp Web?
- First, you will need to look for the WA Web Plus extension on the Google Chrome extensions page.
- Follow the instructions on the website to install the extension correctly
- Click on the puzzle icon in the upper right corner of the Chrome screen, next to your Gmail profile picture
- All the Chrome extensions you have will be displayed. Search for ‘WA Web Plus for WhatsApp’ and press the three vertical dots on the right side
- An options menu will open, in which you have to locate the one called ‘Fix’ and select it
- Now you will have the WA Web Plus icon, which has the shape of a green cross enclosed in a circle, anchored in your Google taskbar
- With that ready, go to WhatsApp Web
- Press the WA Web Plus icon and check the ‘Enable thumb up button’ button
- Finally, open any chat to make sure that in the lower right corner you have a new ‘Like’ button
- Ready!
