How to activate two-step verification in WhatsApp?

  1. Enter the WhatsApp application from an Android or iOS device
  2. Access the Settings panel of the application
  3. Go to Account> Two-Step Verification> Activate
  4. Choose a six-digit PIN and confirm it
  5. Provide an email address or press Skip to skip this step
  6. Click the Next button to continue
  7. Confirm the email address and press the Save or OK button.

Adding an email address is recommended, as this will allow you to reset 2-Step Verification if you forget your 6-digit PIN. In the event that you do not add this information, you will have to wait seven days to reset your password.

How to change the PIN for 2-Step Verification?

The messaging service offers the possibility of modifying the access code at any time. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Open the WhatsApp Settings panel
  2. Go to Account> Two-Step Verification
  3. Click the Change PIN option and follow the instructions on the screen.
