Britannica suggests the name might have been taken from a priest who was martyred about 270 CE by the emperor Claudius II Gothicus. According to legend, the priest signed a letter “from your Valentine” to his jailer’s daughter, whom he had befriended and, by some accounts, healed from blindness.
Valentine’s week comprises Rose Day, Propose Day, Chocolate Day, Teddy Day, Promise Day, Hug Day, Kiss Day, and Valentine’s Day. It is the month of love, so cherish each day of the week. Create memories so that when you look back to this day, it will make you smile even on gloomy days.
