A LITTLE ABOUT OPEN RELATIONSHIPS
All terms and conditions of a non-binding relationship must be negotiated onshore. In some couples, this format implies the ability to correspond and go on dates with other people. There are couples who admit the presence of other partners on the side. This is all very individual specfic and if you do not want to have disagreements in your relationship, you need to discuss everything at once and set the boundaries of what is acceptable.
Most often, this format of relationships occurs when partners live at a distance. In an open relationship, it is extremely important to trust your partner, no matter how strange and unusual it may sound. And, of course, there can be no talk of any strong emotional attachment – this is quite logical when your significant other is constantly looking for someone better.
What is an Open relationship?
Many see open relationships as the only way to save traditional ones. However, it doesn’t work that way. Are you willing to endure while your partner walks right and left, just to keep him or her close to you for a while? That’s it. More often than not, this is just the last step before the final break.
Also, relationships without commitment are not suitable for jealous ones. If you are, and even thought you cannot admit that your partner will spend time with someone else, you should not even start. You will simply exhaust your nerves.
An open relationship should always be by mutual agreement. The scenario when one wants to go for a walk, and the other allows it, because he does not want to lose a partner, is real stupidity. It will be a whole fountain of negative emotions, nerves and disappointments.
Everyone decides for himself how to relate to this format of relations. Note that there are quite happy couples who are satisfied with everything – they live quite harmoniously for themselves, without experiencing any discomfort. However, this is more the exception than the rule. Therefore, before entering into an open relationship, you should carefully consider whether you can handle such pressure.
