When Rhodes sent Reigns through the announcer’s table, things shifted in Rhodes’ favour, and the American Nightmare took control of the match.
The referee noticed Sikoa’s attempt to assist Reigns. To the surprise of everyone inside the SoFi stadium, Rhodes hit the Cross Rhodes on Reigns, but the Tribbal Chief kicked out at two.
Rhodes turned the Tribal Chief’s attempt at a Superman Punch into a Pedigree, but it wasn’t enough to knock the Tribal Chief out. When Reigns hit a thunderous Spear, he thought he had it in the bag. However, Rhodes kicked out at the last second to keep the match alive.
The referee was knocked out briefly, and The Usos attempted to assist Reigns during this time. But Zayn and KO intervened to level the playing field and eliminate Reigns. Although Rhodes’ pin was close, Reigns remained in the fight.
