Mathieu van der Poel has decided to postpone his comeback to the competition.
Van der Poel’s return to competition was originally scheduled on December 18 in Rucphen, the Netherlands. Still recovering from a knee injury sustained in training at the end of November, the Dutchman has opted to postpone his comeback to cyclo-cross for a week. Thus, on Boxing Day, the triple world champion will meet his opponents, beginning with Wout van Aert and maybe including Tom Pidcock, in Dendermonde (Belgium).
