The MLS has once again made headlines by tying the Italian, Lorenzo Insigne, who is now a teammate of Chucky Lozano at Napoli and will be playing in Toronto starting next season, to become the most paid player in the League.
According to reports from Europe, Insigne and the Canadian squad have struck an agreement for the next five seasons with a deal worth $11.5 million each.
It should be noted that another outstanding Italian, Sebastián Giovinco, had played in the red box, leading them to two titles and coming very near to winning the Concacaf Champions League in the final against Chivas.
For the time being, Insigne will remain in Naples, where he will finish the season with the celestial team, who is battling Milan for second place and chasing Inter, who already has more than 7 points.
Lorenzo spent 9 seasons at Napoli, appearing in 415 games, scoring 114 goals, assisting on 91 others, and winning three championships. He is also the Azzurri team’s recent European Champion.
