Ambassador María Antonia Masana, general director of Peruvian Communities Abroad of the Peruvian Foreign Ministry, reported that, as of Tuesday, March 8, 50 Peruvians had already been evacuated after escaping from Ukraine.
Likewise, it was reported that this Thursday 10 nationals will be repatriated and on Sunday another group of three Peruvians.
It should be noted that they will join the 17 people who arrived last week. The first group arrived last Saturday night on a commercial flight, at 7:00 pm, to the Lima airport, after leaving the city of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, to Warsaw (Poland), from where the repatriation plane departed.
Later, a new group of four compatriots arrived in Peru after fleeing Ukraine. The flight landed on Sunday, March 6, at the Jorge Chávez airport, at seven in the evening.
“From the Foreign Ministry, we will continue working to support our Peruvian community,” wrote the Peruvian Foreign Ministry on Twitter.
