Wonder Woman: second part of the film will not be a sequel

According to Roven, the reason why Patty Jenkins decided to title ‘Wonder Woman 1984’, instead of ‘ Wonder Woman 2’, is because the film production will be independent.

“I was determined (Patty Jenkins) to make this film the next iteration of Wonder Woman, but not a sequel, and she’s certainly doing that.
