On the afternoon of this Sunday, June 5, the news broke that the American actor Stoney Westmoreland, who plays Officer Saxton in the series “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul“, pleaded guilty to the crime of attempted abuse against a minor, for which he will spend up to two years in prison.

Little is known about the life of Stoney, who is originally from Tennessee. He graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts and currently resides in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States. He married a woman named Sharon Pavon; However, there are no further details about their relationship or their family.

Throughout his career in Hollywood, the actor has participated in several films such as “Godzilla”, in 1998; and “The Impostors”, together with Nicolas Cage; however, in both productions he only had a supporting role. His last movie was “Viral”, where he played Bill, a family man who catches a strange virus that turns people into monstrous beings.

On television, he has had greater relevance and worked for several highly successful series such as “The Gilmore Girls”, “Bones”, “NCIS”, “Scandal”, “SWAT.” and “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.”

In 2018, the same year in which he was arrested for six charges against a minor, Westmoreland debuted as a producer and director of the film “Golden Boy” with which he received good reviews even though the critics did not favor him so much since the film was ranked 67% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Scandals

Although just a few days ago Stoney Westmoreland pleaded guilty to six counts of attempted child abuse, this is not the first time he has faced justice. In 2018, when the events occurred, he was arrested after contacting a 13-year-old boy with whom he had conversations of a sexual nature, through a website.

The site was intervened by the police and the investigation found that Stoney sent several explicit photographs to the minor, even trying to take him to a motel to have an intimate encounter.

At that time, the 52-year-old actor was working on the Disney Channel production “Andi Mack”, from which he was immediately fired.
