On ‘SNL,’ Kelsea Ballerini performs a new lyric to her Morgan Evans divorce ballad ‘Blindsided.’

Kelsea Ballerini debuted on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, reaching the pinnacle of late-night television. The country-pop hitmaker performed two songs on the critically acclaimed sketch comedy show.

Including a stirring piano-and-vocals rendition of “Penthouse,” a standout piece from the singer’s surprise post-divorce Album, which emerged last month. Ballerini, 29, divorced fellow singer Morgan Evans in August of last year after a nearly five-year marriage.

“Kissed someone new last night / But now I don’t know where you’re sleeping, sweetie / We got along real good, until I wanted out, now I know you hate me,” Ballerini sang.

‘SNL’ presenter Travis Kelce blasts ‘Fox & Friends,’ Dominion voting lawsuit: Michael Lindell .Earlier in the evening, Ballerini sang “Blindsided,” another song from her “Welcome Mat” project.

The singer was supported by a six-piece band, while a silhouetted dancer replicated her performance behind a blue-and-white screen. During the song, she added a new lyric that seemed to reference Evans’ new breakup ballad “Over for You,” adding gasoline to her post-divorce creative fire.

In the end of “Blindsided,” Ballerini sung, “Now you’re singin’ it loud on the radio like you’re the only heart that breaks / You would’ve searched the whole globe over? Sure, sure, Alright.”

Ballerini appeared on this week’s episode of “SNL” alongside Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who made his hosting debut over three weeks after winning his second Super Bowl.
