Peaky Blinders: when and what time does the final season premiere

Cillian Murphy became world famous with Peaky Blinders but previously starred in a disturbing thriller that can be seen on Netflix.

The sixth season was recorded at the beginning of 2021 with a great emotional burden, since on April 16, actress Helen McCrory, known for playing Narcissa Malfoy in Harry Potter and Aunt Polly in Peaky Blinders, died of cancer at the age of 52. It premiered on the BBC on February 27.

“By order of the Peaky Blinders, all episodes of the sixth and final season arrive on Netflix on June 10,” the streaming platform announced in March on social networks, accompanied by a flyer with Tommy Shelby as the protagonist.

This Friday, June 10 at 5 a.m. Argentina time, the final season of Peaky Blinders arrives on Netflix, which consists of six wonderful chapters, just like the previous ones.

Each episode is approximately one hour long. Director Anthony Byrne said that “it ranks among the great endings of long-running television series”.

But… don’t despair, it won’t be the last time we see the Shelby brothers on screen. Series creator Steven Knight confirmed that a movie will be filmed as the closing of the story and will start shooting in 2023.

In addition, Knight has not ruled out making a spin off of the series, even confirming that he is working on several possible scenarios in order to continue enjoying the Shelby family.

At the end of the fifth season, which takes place in 1929, the great protagonist is shown very frustrated. The last scene is Tommy with a gun in his hand in the fog.

Grace appears to him as a ghost and says, “The job is done, Tommy. It’s done. We can walk away from all this. It’s very easy. It’s very smooth. A little change.” In the last image, Tommy can be seen screaming with the gun pointed at his head, after hearing the voice of his wife.

The first chapter of the sixth season is called “Black Day” and is dedicated to the memory of the great actress, Helen McCrory, who played Aunt Polly.

“With Tommy Shelby on the verge of suicide, the sixth season is at a key moment in the evolution of the history of the United Kingdom. A change that meant a transformation in many things at a political, social and economic level: the Battle of Cable Street, which marked the end of fascism in the country”, states the official synopsis.
