Netflix cancelled the series because of Cobra Kai 6

The series’ sixth season premiere date has yet to be set, but the genuine reasons for its discontinuation have been revealed. This is what its designer stated.

Netflix confirmed the imminent launch of the sixth and last season of the ” Cobra Kai ” series, a spin-off of the “Karate Kid” franchise, in January 2023.

After weeks of speculation about the streaming behemoth interfering with the show’s cancellation, creator Jon Hurwitz stepped out to clarify the situation.

Hurwitz stated on social media that he, together with the’showrunners’ Josh Heald and Hayden Schlossberg, agreed to finish the plot with Netflix. In the post, he also stated that the “Miyagiverse” will not come to an end.

“Netflix did not inform us that (the sixth installment) was the final season. We informed them that this was the final season. We’ve always wanted to conclude ‘Cobra Kai’ in our own unique style, and we’re happy for the opportunity. But that doesn’t mean the Miyagiverse is over. “We adore this world,” the tweet said.

In this way, Jon Hurwitz put an end to the speculations while still anticipating that the universe of “Karate Kid” could expand, though he did not reveal any further specifics.

What will the plot of “Cobra Kai 6” be?

The official synopsis for the sixth season of “Cobra Kai” has yet to be released by Netflix. Therefore, we may assume that it will continue with the events of the fifth installment’s final episode.
