Heather Jones’ story began in the Branch Davidian cult, the Mt. Carmel Center, during the 1990s.
As a child born to Branch Davidian members Kathy and David Jones, she was surrounded by fateful events and demonic influences. Heather endured much turmoil and trauma, most especially with her ‘guardian’ and cult leader David Koresh. Jones was subjected to physical and emotional abuse, as well as being exposed to Koresh’s reign of terror. Heather is a survivor, and it’s no surprise that she has come a long way since her days in the religious cult of Branch Davidians. She is now an advocate for empowerment and stands up for those who have been victims to their own detriment.
She is a motivational speaker, sharing her story with the world and inspiring people to have hope and to take control of their lives, no matter their circumstance. Heather works regularly with civic, education and business groups globally. This is where she achieves her mission of empowering others and helping them realize their true potential. Heather is also a sought-after TV and radio host. She is no stranger to the world of media, having been featured in the critically acclaimed National Geographic television series, “The Sect” and having spoken on numerous radio programs. To further her reach and accessibility, Heather also has her own YouTube channel, podcast, and blog.
She strives to take control of her own life, heal, and move forward. She’s a prominent voice in the survivor’s rights movement. Jones, with her debut single ‘Where are you now’, has created an inspiring soundtrack for trauma survivors, in particular those of the Branch Davidian cult.
. She’s also a humanitarian, a compassionate mentor of the healing process, who is on a mission to help those affected by cults and abuse. In addition to her work in art, Jones campaigns for the support of survivors of abuse and trauma.
