The sixth and final season of Peaky Blinders is now available on Netflix after its premiere in the United Kingdom, the finishing touch to the almost ten years that the British series starring Cillian Murphy has lasted.

However, we know that it is not the end of it, since its creator, Steven Knight, is preparing a sequel film that will surely be a success like the films that have been made after the end of Downton AbbeyBut he also announced in his day that he plans to do the odd spin-off of a character.

But would many of his actors return? The 100% assured is Cillian Murphy who has advanced in an interview with Deadline that she would undoubtedly be in any new project related to Peaky Blinders :

IF THERE’S MORE STORY TO TELL, I’LL BE THERE

Clear and concise, Murphy is more than happy about his work and character in Peaky Blinders, a role that has given him worldwide recognition during the 10 years he has been involved in fiction:

I feel enormously grateful for it. I still can’t believe that almost a decade of my life has passed. I think I found some of the best writers on this series and some of the best actors I’ve ever met. I never thought I’d get to play a character that would last a decade and be able to go so deep and have such rich material. And then do it more or less how we wanted to do it

As it is a British format with few episodes, Murphy has been able to work on various projects throughout these 10 years of Peaky Blinders, something that he greatly appreciates and that without this simple detail, unlike the North American series, his experience would not have been so nice:

With American series, what happens is that you belong to them, so all the actors were able to go and do other interesting work in the medium that I think was essential. I was able to do plays and other movies. I think if the ability to do other work had been taken away from me, I wouldn’t feel as grateful, but I do feel tremendously grateful.

A POLLY GRAY PREQUEL?

Steven Knight revealed a few months ago that depending on the structure of the film, they will launch some Peaky Blinders spin-offs. It is not yet known who the protagonists would be, but at SensaCine we have opted for three different series.

A Polly Gray prequel, a series about Alfie Solomons with  Tom Hardy as the lead, or one starring Michael Gray ( Finn Cole ) and his adventures in America. What would be your bet?

What do you think?
