Lindsay Lohan is back in the spotlight after years of scandals and failed reality shows (remember Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club on MTV ?) with new movies, new podcasts, and a new husband. Seven months after announcing her engagement to Bader Shammas, Lohan confirmed that they were officially married with an informal Instagram post celebrating her 36th birthday on Saturday. “I am the luckiest woman in the world,” he wrote, sharing a photo of her and Shammas, apparently in vacation mode. “You found me and you knew I wanted to find happiness and grace all at the same time. I’m surprised you’re my husband. My life and my everything.” She added: “Every woman should feel like this every day.”

It’s unclear when Lindsay Lohan and Shammas, who works in finance, got married. Since he announced their engagement in November of last year, Lohan has kept their wedding plans under wraps. Based on his Instagram of him, it looks like the two had some sort of engagement celebration back in March. Unless they posed with a giant cake that said “She said yes” for some other reason.

And in February, she told Extra that she would be a “low-key” girlfriend, adding, “Even on my birthday I want to make sure everyone else is okay, and then I can be okay.” But she did not reveal any other accurate information. He had even said at some point of doing some kind of ‘destination wedding ‘, but we haven’t seen evidence of that, although it may have gone unnoticed.

So when exactly was the wedding? Did they get married on his birthday? Was that Extra interview a clue all along? Unfortunately, no details have been confirmed, so all we know is that Lindsay Lohan is now a married woman and also a year older. Maybe he’s saving the minutiae for the inevitable comeback press tour later this year, when his first Netflix rom-com, Falling for Christmas, premieres. Or maybe he’ll reveal it all in an episode of his podcast, The Lowdown.
