ohnny Depp today winced as audio recordings of him played while Amber Heard seemed to be fighting back tears
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard met once again before the Court to continue the defamation trial that the actor undertook against his ex-wife.
Since the 36-year-old star took the stand to testify against Johnny Depp, followers of the actor have noticed that he avoids seeing her face at all times when he recounts the alleged episodes of violence he experienced with him.
In this regard, during Heard’s statements on Monday, one of the lawyers of the protagonist of “Pirates of the Caribbean” explained the reasons why his client avoids looking his ex-wife in the eye.
After asking Heard if she had noticed that the actor had not looked at her since he took the stand to testify against her and she replied that she had not noticed, the lawyer Camille Vasquez explained that everything has a logical reason.
And it is that according to her after the couple separated, Johnny Depp promised Amber Heard that he would never see her eyes again.
As proof of this, he presented to the Court a series of audios that show how Heard asks the actor not to leave and hug her before leaving, even though she had already requested a restraining order against him.
According to the recording, Heard met Depp at a hotel in San Francisco in 2016, he went hoping that she would retract the statements against him, but it did not happen.
When they were saying goodbye, Heard tried to hug Depp, but he refused and she said: “Please, I just want to hug you and say goodbye.” She then hears Depp say: “I am nothing to you, and I will always be nothing to you. You will never see my eyes again.”
“He has kept that promise, hasn’t he?” Vasquez asked Heard, referring to Depp refusing to look at Heard, to which she replied, “As far as I know, he can’t look at me,” she said.
A few weeks ago, about what was stated by Johnny Depp’s lawyer, Amber Heard assured that her ex-husband cannot look her in the eye simply because he is guilty of everything he did to her.
“He is guilty. He knows that he is lying. Otherwise, why can’t he look at me?… I survived that man and I’m here, and I can look at him,” she stated.
The defamation trial against Amber Heard will continue until May 27, after listening to those involved, the judges will give a verdict.
