In the middle of the legal process against his ex, the Hollywood star questioned the production company of the Pirates of the Caribbean saga in harsh terms
In the midst of the controversial trial that Johnny Depp stars in with Amber Heard , the Hollywood star lashed out at Disney and lamented his sudden departure from the popular Pirates of the Caribbean saga.
Referring to the impact that Amber Heard ‘s accusations had against him, Johnny Depp stated: “ It was as if someone had hit me on the back of the head. I didn’t have the ability to come forward and speak, because even if I had given an interview, giving my point of view would not have worked. So my mouth was shut .”
While when referring to the consequences that the litigation with Heard brought to his work in Hollywood, Depp questioned Disney by saying: “Captain Jack Sparrow is someone I built from scratch, and it was something that from then, I put a lot of myself. And having worked so hard on these movies, giving them so much of myself, rewriting so many dialogues, scenes and jokes, I don’t understand then how after such a long and successful relationship for Disney, I was suddenly guilty before being recognized as innocent.
Disney had offered him to shoot a sixth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean. “ My feeling is that all of these characters should be able to say goodbye properly. I think that the characters of a saga that lasted so long deserve to have an end point that culminates in style. I was willing to continue with that franchise until the time came to conclude it , ”said the actor.
In a more critical tone, Johnny Depp charged against Disney by assuring: ” There was a very deep feeling of having been betrayed by the people I was working with, for whom I worked, people to whom I gave a character that they initially despised .”
