The fate of the knight in the series would have been exposed after a trial against the actor who plays it, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
HBO does what it can to control the leaks of the plot of “Game of Thrones” final season, but this time the source has been a trial in which one of its main actors has been sentenced.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, in a hearing against Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister) for breach of contract, it was revealed that the Danish actor only appears in four of the six episodes of the last season.
What does this mean? As Watchers on the Wall theorizes, one possibility is that the show runners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss do not consider it necessary for Jaime Lannister to be in all the episodes of the season and his participation in one or the other chapter could be avoided.
The other possibility is that the character of Jaime Lannister dies before the end. The Valar Morghulis (“all men must die”) is always fulfilled, but will we see the end of the golden-hand knight in the next season?
In addition to the spoiler, it is known that Nikolaj Coster Waldau lost his trial and therefore must pay US $ 1.75 million to his former manager, Jill Littman. In the same way, it is known that the interpreter will appeal the sentence.
The Hollywood Reporter also indicates that Nikolaj Coster Waldau earns more than US $ 1 million per episode, so it would not be surprising that the other main actors, such as Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Lena Headey and Peter Dinklage receive a similar figure.
The final season of “Game of Thrones” arrives on HBO in the first half of 2019.
