In recent statements, Eddie Redmayne, the protagonist of ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Grindelwald Crimes’ has suggested that the film is more connected to the rest of the magical saga than the fans themselves imagine.
This is what the actor had to say about David Yates’ film: “The script is labyrinthine, it’s like you’re traveling along a maze and JK Rowling is mixing the stories in an intricate way. trip, connections with ‘Harry Potter’ begin to appear, and there is one … when I got to the end of the script I was speechless, there was something I had not seen coming. ”
The words of the actor who gives birth to Newton Scamander arrive just over a month after the world premiere of the film. And with the anticipation of the fans higher than ever, Redmayne has done nothing but stoke the flame.
Claudia Kim as Nagini in ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
What we already know
In his statements the British actor, Oscar winner for ‘The theory of everything’, suggests that both Yates and Rowling have prepared something that the potter head community will not see coming.
However, the last trailer of the film already revealed some secrets that confirmed the suspicions of the fans. Like the authentic identity of the character played by Claudia Kim, who has turned out to be Nagini, the serpent turned into Horcrux by Voldemort. Something that can only be explained if this character is also a Maledictus, a cursed witch turned into a beast, in this case a snake.
Maybe Redmayne is trying to remind fans of the saga that there are still many secrets to discover and a long way to go, especially if you consider that ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Grindelwald Crimes’ will mark the second entry in a new saga that will continue for at least three more movies.
