Elliot Page says that being trans made him a better person and friend in several facets

For Elliot Page, the positives outweigh all the negatives in this world. The Oscar-nominated actor visited the Seth Meyers show to talk about the third season of Umbrella Academy.

Elliot’s character, Viktor, appears as trans in the series, reflecting his real life, as the actor announced in December 2020 that he would transition to a man. Asked by Seth about how he deals with “negative reactions” from strangers after coming out as trans, Page said, “What I want to focus on right now and it’s been so extraordinary is the degree of joy I feel, the degree of presence what I feel”.

“I feel in a way I never thought possible for a long, long time,” he added. “So that’s really what I’m focusing on and embracing the most. But of course, the moments can be overwhelming.” Elliot Page went on to express how authentic he feels now, saying being trans has made him better in so many ways. , both as an individual and as a friend. This was what he told.

Elliot Page told Seth Meyers that by living as he is, “everything” feels easier now. He talked about how we all deal with “expectations, kind of limits and restrictions” in everyday life, and there is an “obsession” about “how we’re supposed to live our lives.” He added: “For me, it would be very special if we could all connect and talk about how similar we are in all of our travels.”

On living authentically and being a trans man, Elliot Page said, ” I think it’s made me better in so many ways. As a person, as a friend, in relationships .” “It’s a beautiful thing to experience now. Because most of the time my life I was trying to move on, so I was able to embrace the experience as much as I do now,” he said.

Elliot Page had wanted to live this free for a long time. He told Vanity Fair in April 2021 that when he was little he “absolutely” knew he was a boy. He “Wrote fake love letters and signed them ‘Jason'”.

Every little aspect of my life, that’s who I was, who I am, and who I knew I was,” she said at the time. No, you can’t be that when you’re older .’”

During the segment, Meyers told her, “Personally, it’s really lovely to hear how much joy it’s brought you, and thank you so much for sharing it with us and continuing to make it a story other people can hear. It was nice to see you again.”
