Coldplay: pays tribute to Taylor Hawkins with the song named Everglow

While Coldplay was performing in Monterrey they learned the unfortunate news of the death of the drummer from “Foo Fighters”

Yesterday the British band Coldplay gave their first concert in Monterrey at the BBVA stadium on the occasion of their musical tour “Music of the Spheres”. In this show, more than 50 thousand people experienced one of the most emotional concerts of the tour of the group made up of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion. Well, after learning of the death of Taylor Hawkins, Foo Fighters drummer, Coldplay paid tribute to the musician.

“We heard that a friend of ours from a great band called Foo Fighters has passed away. We didn’t know if we should talk about this at this concert but we should because they are our friends and we care about them and we feel like we should send love to the “Foo Fighters”, said the leader and vocalist of the band, Chris Martin.

Also, Martin said, “We all knew that Taylor the drummer was a beautiful man and we’re going to play this song for ‘Foo Fighters’ and it’s called Everglow.” It should be noted that while he gave this speech Chris was sad and moved by the unfortunate news of the sudden death of Taylor Hawkins. The drummer was 50 years old and according to the reports of the authorities, the artist lost his life at the Hotel Casa Medina, located in Bogotá, Colombia.

Related to the cause of death of the drummer, the US news agency Associated Press (AP), revealed the following information, “According to the toxicological studies carried out on drummer Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters, 10 psychoactive substances and medicines were found, including marijuana and opioids in your body. This was said by the Colombian Prosecutor’s Office.” However, the authority did not give an official cause of death for the drummer.
