Accident on the set of “La Casa de Papel”: They hurt an actor with a real knife

In this last season the actors and producers faced problems that they thought had no solution.

After the premiere of the fifth and final season of “La Casa de Papel”, a special was launched where the actors, producers, screenwriters, art directors, told how they lived the process of the series that led them to fame.

The special called “La Casa de Papel: from Tokio to Berlin” has two episodes that narrated what it was like for the protagonists: Úrsula Corberó (Tokyo), Álvaro Morte (The Professor), Pedro Alonso (Berlin), Miguel Herrán ( Río), Jaime Lorente (Denver), Alva Flores (Nairobi), Darko Peric (Helsinki), Esther Acebo (Mónica Garza) and Itziar Ituño (Inspector Murillo) , to interpret the characters that were marked in the lives of millions of people.

However, this program also revealed some difficulties that the production had to carry out the long-awaited project.

Some of these problems were that they had to film the scene of the Norwegian oil reform in the Canary Islands because they could not find one. The actors pretended it was below zero when in reality it was 33 degrees.

They lost a drone in the water, and also recreated an entire set from the Mint Museum to destroy it in a minute.

But that was not all, José Manuel Poga (César Gandía) was wounded with a knife during the recording of a fight scene with Hovik Keuchkerian (Bogotá), who in real life was a professional boxer.

The images show how Bogotá and Gandía were fighting, but the thief held a knife with one hand and detained the Bank of Spain’s security chief with the other.

However, when they finished filming, Gandía was still bleeding from one shoulder and they realized that with the knife they recorded the scene was real.

That was not my fault, I had to hold him and since he is not standing still, I had to threaten him and the knife instead of being a fake knife was a real knife ”, explained Hovik Keuchkerian.

After the injury, José Manuel Poga received three stitches and continued to record the fight.

“I’m going to remember Bogotá all my life,” said the actor with a laugh.

It is worth mentioning that these scenes are from the second episode of the fifth and final season of “La Casa de Papel”, which premiered on Friday, December 3 on the Netflix platform.
