Windows 11: updates gestures for touch screens

Gestures return to Windows 11 after being gone in version 10.

Microsoft has brought back gestures on touch screens. The function was available for version 8 of the operating system, but with the arrival of version 10, these disappeared.

Now, after a long time, touchscreen gestures are back in Microsoft’s System 11. Thanks to the latest build of the Windows Insider program, these gestures return.

Microsoft has taken care of trackpads for a long time, although they had forgotten about gestures on the screen, this time with build 22557 the new function returned.

Gestures on touch screens for Windows 11

One of the gestures that Microsoft brings to its latest version of Windows is the ease of opening and closing the start menu with the help of a natural and simple movement.

There’s no need to fine tune your finger, as any gesture from the taskbar upwards will launch the start menu.

To close it, just touch anywhere on the screen or pull from the menu displayed upwards.

The other gesture helps navigate from the menu with apps pinned to the rest of the apps. To search within these applications quickly is very useful.

In addition, there is another gesture that allows you to open the shortcuts. From there you can configure as you do from a mobile. This is done by making an intuitive and simple gesture that raises the possibilities of touch uses.

Finally, Microsoft incorporated the animation of the notifications. By swiping left from the right edge of the screen, you will see the Notification Center next to the calendar and the Focus function.
