The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 would arrive with internal and external 120 Hz screens

The Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold was the company’s first folding mobile launched in 2021. For a few weeks, information about a new version of this device has begun to leak: the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2. This terminal would come with better features than its predecessor.

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 would bring improved screens compared to the current Mix Fold, according to Digital Chat Station on Weibo. For starters, the internal display would now support a 120Hz refresh rate, just like the external one.

The Mix Fold 2 would look similar to the newly announced Honor Magic V and thus have a more useful external display. The Magic V has an outer 21:9 screen and an inner 10.3:9 screen, split into two roughly 21:9.

This device has already been registered in the IMEI database under model number 22061218C and it would be presented from the second half of the year 2022.

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 would integrate the camera technology under the screen that we saw in the Xiaomi Mix 4, thus equating it to other folding equipment that we see on the market such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G.

The leaks also indicate that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 would be equipped with Qualcomm’s new generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which would make it the first folding phone on the market to incorporate this processor.
