Sony Introduces New Wireless Personal Neck Speaker

Sony’s new device is aimed at people who work from home.

Sony announced the launch of the SRS-NB10 , a new wireless speaker with a band design that fits around the neck and rests on the shoulders to allow users to take phone calls or listen to music while walking or doing other activities.

According to Daisuke Kawaguchi , vice president of home entertainment and sound at Sony Electronics, this device is ideal for people who work from home due to its comfortable build and advanced features.

At the design level, the SRS-NB10 features a cloth finish and an IPX4 rating for resistance to splashing water. In turn, it is equipped with a full-range speaker unit and a passive radiator to increase the bass.

Sony says the equipment is optimized to provide a high-quality personal sound experience, which means that users will be able to listen to virtual meetings and phone calls clearly “without disturbing others in the room.”

With Precise Voice Pickup technology , its two beamforming microphones, and its advanced audio signal processing system, the SRS-NB10 is able to minimize echo and deliver clear voice quality to the other person in the room. the call.

The speaker can simultaneously connect to two compatible devices, such as televisions, smartphones, tablets, and computers, via Bluetooth 5.1 connection . This makes it possible to switch between both teams easily as needed.

Additionally, users can take calls by clicking the play / call button on the left side of the band, mute the microphone with the MIC Mute key on the right side, and adjust the volume level with the side controls.

In terms of autonomy, the SRS-NB10 promises up to 20 hours of battery life . Plus, a 10-minute quick charge (via USB Type-C port) can provide up to an hour of additional audio playback.

Sony’s new wireless speaker will go on sale officially starting in September for a price of $ 149.99. It can be purchased in charcoal gray and white.
