Microsoft introduces the Surface Pro X 2-in-1 in India, with a starting price of Rs 93,999.

The Surface Pro X will be available in four different configurations, beginning at Rs 93,999 for consumers and Rs 94,599 for businesses.

Microsoft, the American technology giant, debuted the Surface Pro X, a two-in-one gadget powered by an ARM system-on-chip, in India on Tuesday. The Surface line’s economical 13-inch device will be accessible through Microsoft’s commercial authorised dealers, Reliance Digital shops, and online store. The gadget will be offered in four configurations and would cost consumers Rs 93,999 and businesses Rs 94,599.

“We’re delighted to introduce the new Surface Pro X with built-in Wi-Fi to our line of Microsoft devices. This new model combines the Pro X’s slim, elegant form with all-day battery life at the lowest starting price point ever, giving our consumers additional alternatives,” said Bhaskar Basu, Country Head – Devices (Surface), Microsoft India.

The Surface Pro X weighs 774g, making it the smallest and lightest Pro device in the Surface family. It is powered by a custom-built eight-core CPU that Microsoft claims is capable of all-day performance, quick connection, extended battery life, and ultra-quiet operation.

The smartphone includes a 5-megapixel front-facing camera capable of recording up to 1080p HD video and auto-adjusting to changing lighting situations. Eye Contact, which is powered by artificial intelligence and the inbuilt neural engine, adjusts your gaze during video conversations so that you appear to be staring directly into the camera. Dual far-field studio microphones and optimised speakers combine to create an immersive and entertaining video calling experience. Two USB-C ports and a specialised magnetic Surflink are included on the device (with an extra USB-A).

The display, meanwhile, is a 13-inch PixelSense touchscreen with an integrated kickstand. The Surface Slim Pen 2 is compatible with the display and is kept and charged in the Signature Keyboard. The new Surface Pro X supports additional programmes thanks to its built-in Windows 11 and 64-bit emulation.
