Russell Gage Injury Update
After suffering a head injury late in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s NFC wild-card game between the Cowboys and the Buccaneers, Russell Gage had to be carried off the field on a stretcher.
At the Dallas 7-yard line, Gage attempted to make a sliding catch when he was tackled. Gage looked to attempt to rise up after the strike, but he was unable to do so and slumped to the ground. Both teams came off the sidelines to surround Gage as the medical professionals examined him.
Here is the most recent information on Gage’s condition.
Tom Brady, the Bucs’ quarterback, attempted to find Gage with a ball across the middle with little under three minutes remaining in the contest. The handoff fell short. Donovan Wilson of Dallas tackled Gage while attempting to stop the play.
Gage attempted to stand himself off the ground but was unable.
Prior to ordering the cart, medical personnel attended to him for a while after rushing onto the field. Later, he was removed off the field while being carried off the stretcher and into the wagon.
After the game, coach Todd Bowles informed the media that he had been taken to a nearby hospital for possible neck injury. He claimed that Gage was concussed during the play.
Gage did had movement in all of his extremities, according to Bowles.
