Two firefighters died fighting a fire in an apartment
Two firefighters died, and another was seriously injured this morning while working to put out a fire in an apartment in a building in the Buenos Aires town of Caseros, Tres de Febrero, police sources reported.
The fatal victims are Cristian Ragazoni, who died before reaching a health center; and Gabriel Fedegri, who died shortly after entering for treatment; while the wounded is Pablo Silva, who is hospitalized in “critical condition,” the sources consulted told Télam.
The mayor of Tres de Febrero, Diego Valenzuela, declared this noon the state of “municipal mourning” and expressed his regret on Twitter, expressing “enormous pain for the death” of Ragazoni and Fedegriy for the severe injuries of Silva.
The incident occurred on the fourth floor of the building located on Avenida San Martín 1351, where police personnel, the Same, and firefighters from Tres de Febrero were transferred. On
They arrived at the place and found an igneous focus in department C, apparently caused by a stove.
After evacuating the building’s occupants, the fire was brought under control, but three of the firefighters were affected by smoke and fire, and two of them died.
As a result, a legal case was initiated under the heading of “fire” in Fiscal Unit 7 of the San Martín Judicial Department, in charge of the prosecutor Diana Mayko.
