Annie Wersching died on January 29th, at the age of 45, after a battle with cancer. Throughout her career, she has played famous roles in shows including The Rookie, Timeless, Star Trek: Picard, 24, and Bosch.
The latest episode of ABC’s iconic drama paid poignant tribute to the late Annie Wersching in order to recognize her legacy and effect on the show. It was broadcast on February 14, 2023.
Throughout the three seasons of The Rookie, Annie Wersching played serial killer Rosalind Dyer. Rosalind Dyer immediately becomes a foe for the LAPD, particularly John Nolan, represented by Nathan Fillon’s character.
Annie Wersching made her final appearance on the show in the fourth episode of the fifth season. Rosalind Dyer’s character gets killed off in the episode titled “The Choice” in a dramatic event. Fans were disappointed by her demise after witnessing her lasting impact on the show.
