Ukraine seeks humanitarian corridor to bring medicines to hospitals

Ukraine is facing drug distribution problems in pharmacies and hospitals due to the Russian invasion and wants to establish a humanitarian corridor for them, Health Minister Oleh Lyashko said on Wednesday.

Lyashko also raised the issue of supplying medical oxygen to coronavirus patients, but added that there was sufficient stock at the moment

The Russian army said on Wednesday that it took control of the city of Kherson , in southern Ukraine, at the beginning of the seventh day of the invasion launched by Moscow against the neighboring country.

“Russian divisions of the armed forces took full control of the regional capital of Kherson,” Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in remarks broadcast on television

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Moscow on Wednesday of wanting to “erase” his country and its history amid Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion launched last week.

At least four people were killed and nine wounded in Russian airstrikes on Wednesday morning targeting the headquarters of security services and a university in the country’s second-largest city, Kharkiv, Ukrainian aid workers said.

Spain will send military material to the Ukrainian army

Spain “will deliver offensive military material to the Ukrainian resistance,” the president of the Spanish government, the socialist Pedro Sánchez, announced this Wednesday in the Congress of Deputies.
