A person has shot at a police officer in Rinkeby. The police have since responded to the shots and fired their service weapons. No one was injured in the shooting.

The incident began at 17.17 after the police received an alarm that two masked people armed with a pistol-like object had been seen in Rinkeby. Residents in the area have stated that they heard sounds that sounded like gunfire.

No police officer was injured in the incident.
On Saturday morning, two people were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the shooting. One of them is suspected of attempted murder and the other of aiding and abetting attempted murder.
The man suspected of attempted murder was convicted last year of, among other things, a weapon crime after a sharp-edged pistol was found in his home. The sentence was probation combined with three months’ imprisonment. He has also been convicted of drug offences.
The Special Prosecutor’s Office is informed of the incident, which is routine when someone has fired at police personnel or police have used service weapons.
