Marcelo Colonna: “The MICA shows the cultural potential of Neuquén”

The Neuquén Minister of Culture was satisfied with the participation of various actors from the cultural, artistic and entrepreneurial worlds of the province.

The Minister of Cultures of the province of Neuquén, Marcelo Colonna, considered that the Argentine Cultural Industries Market ( MICA ) that began this Thursday and will run until Sunday at the Kirchner Cultural Center “opens doors and broadens our frame of reference, gives new opportunities for the entire Neuquén cultural industry and also makes it possible to make the full potential of the province of Neuquén visible”.

He highlighted the possibility of participating in MICA “with many entrepreneurs and cultural producers in the province.”

Colonna was satisfied with the participation of various actors from the cultural, artistic, and entrepreneurial world of the province in this event that offers a varied agenda of activities aimed at strengthening cultural industries and cooperation, through the presence of almost a hundred buyers from 23 countries and 1,500 managers, artists and producers of goods and services from all provinces.

“We know the importance of cultural industries for work. We were commenting with Governor Omar Gutiérrez when an audiovisual production ends and the credits begin to roll, in those letters are the workers of culture, including directors, set designers, costume designers, cameramen, screenwriters, sound engineers. It is work generated by the cultural industry, hence the importance of MICA”.Colonna highlighted, concerning cultural legislation, the launch of more than 40 credits for cultural industries carried out by the provincial government through the ministry he heads. “We were able to launch 40 promotion programs and now the stage is back where added value is put to all this that has to do with the work of our cultural workers so that it can reach all parts of our province and the country and for what not an export job of cultural goods and services that generates foreign currency income”.On the other hand, Colonna held a meeting with the president of INCAA, Nicolás Battle, where it was confirmed that the San Martín de Centenario cinema theater, which the Province recently acquired and transferred to the municipality, will become an INCAA Space.

In this way, the San Martín de Centenario Cinema will join this cinematographic corridor that integrates the INCAA Space of Neuquén Capital, Zapala and San Martín de los Andes. “It is one more space in which the stories of our province can be told,” he concluded.
