The Kremlin sent a Russian negotiating delegation to Belarus on Sunday to hold talks with Ukrainian representatives on the war between Russia and Ukraine, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitri Peskov said.
“In correspondence with the agreement reached, the Russian delegation, made up of representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense and other entities, including the Presidential Administration, arrived in Belarus to talk with the Ukrainians. We are ready to start talks in Gomel,” the spokesman announced.
The dispatch of that delegation from Moscow comes on the fourth day of the Russian invasion, which began early Thursday, with Kremlin forces stalking Kiev and taking other cities, such as Kharkov, with 1.4 million inhabitants.
This Saturday Ukraine accused Russia of wanting to bring possible negotiations to stop the war to a dead end before they begin, by falsely stating that Kiev refuses to come to the table for dialogue and put conditions on the talks.
