He waited for the police to arrive at the hotel so that he could surrender. After this, on getting information, the MIDC police station personnel reached the spot and took him into custody.
The dead waiter was a resident of Uttarakhand According to the police, the deceased Jagdish Jalal was a resident of Uttarakhand. He and the accused Mandal were working in the hotel for over a year. Police said that there was a dispute between the waiter and the cook earlier at around 1 pm on Thursday, but their companions pacified both of them. After this, there was a debate and dispute between the two again on Friday morning. During this, the cook of the hotel stabbed the waiter, due to which he died.
The hotel staff told the police that they had seen such an incident for the first time since they came here to work. As soon as the argument with Jalal intensified, before anyone could understand anything, Mandal went to the kitchen and picked up a knife from there, and stabbed Jalal in his chest. MIDC Police Inspector Deepak Surve said that the accused has been arrested. A murder case has been registered against him and further investigation is going on.
