Tara hotel owner Chandrabhan (60) and his wife Nisha (55) were shot dead in the head in Rohtak’s Janata Colony at around 3.30 am on Saturday. Both were shot while sleeping. The couple’s only son is missing since the incident and is being searched by the police. Police say that in the preliminary investigation, the matter appears to be related to a property dispute. After meeting the couple’s son, the whole incident will be revealed.
Shivaji Colony police station in-charge Inspector Shamsher Singh said that at around 5.45 am, information was received that Chandrabhan, the owner of Tara Hotel on Kathmandu Road, and his wife Nisha were shot dead in their house located in Janata Colony. The bodies of both are lying in the downstairs room inside the house in a bloodied condition.
Police reached the spot after getting information about the double murder. Blood was pouring from both of their heads. The bullet was fired from close range near the ear inside the head. The police questioned the daughter-in-law of the couple present in the house. Because the hotel owner’s son was not found on the spot. Police said that due to the missing of the son, suspicion is going on him. On in-depth inquiry, it is learned that Tarun wanted to get the hotel in his name. There was a dispute going on in the house regarding this matter. At the same time, the police called FSL expert Dr. Saroj Dahiya on the spot while taking the investigation forward. The bodies were thoroughly examined. Also, blood-soaked clothes were seized. After this, the bodies have been sent to the dead house of PGI for postmortem.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Tara Hotel owner Chandrabhan’s son Tarun wanted the parents to transfer the hotel to him. Failing to do so, he killed his parents in the night by shooting them in the head. He is absconding since the incident. The case is being registered.
