Coronavirus in India: The capital Delhi has established a weekend curfew. Simultaneously, several states in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, and the south have imposed limitations.

Coronavirus in India: The deadly coronavirus is wreaking havoc across the country. Omicron, the most severe version of the corona virus, has caused concern in all 50 states. Numerous states, including Delhi, have strengthened restrictions. In Delhi, a weekend curfew has been enforced. With the rate at which corona cases are growing in a number of other states, there is a chance of lockdown. Are you aware of the circumstances surrounding these states? What limitations are enforced in this case?

Delhi

  • Weekend curfew is now in effect.
  • On Saturday and Sunday, Delhi will be under curfew.
  • Essential and emergency services will continue to exist.
  • Except for buildings with critical facilities, all offices are entirely shuttered.
  • Private offices will operate at a 50% employee capacity.
  • While the metro and buses will operate at full capacity, travel without a mask is prohibited.

Uttar Pradesh

  • At the moment, there is no notification of a weekend curfew in Uttar Pradesh.
  • From 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., there is a night curfew.
  • The new restrictions will take effect on January 6.
  • All schools up to and including the tenth grade are closed until January 14.
  • If more than 1000 incidents are reported in any area, the district will be banned.
  • For individuals attending the Prayagraj Magh Mela, an RT-PCR test is mandatory.

Bihar

  • Bihar has enforced a night curfew.
  • From 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., there is a night curfew.
  • From 6 to 21 January, a night curfew will be in effect.
  • Throughout Bihar, shops will remain open till 8 p.m.
  • Closed gyms, clubs, shopping malls, theatres, places of worship, and parks.
  • From 9th to 12th grades, schools will operate on a half-day basis.
  • Classes up to the eighth grade will be conducted online.
  • Government-private partnerships will operate with a 50-50 split of personnel.

Maharashtra

  • 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew.
  • The funeral may be attended by up to twenty individuals.
  • Weddings and religious activities will be limited to 50 guests.
  • Section 144 is enforced in tourist areas and public lands.

Punjab

  • Punjab has enforced a night curfew.
  • From 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., there is a night curfew.
  • Schools, colleges, and coaching institutions will be closed throughout this time period.
  • Restaurants, pubs, and cinemas will open at half capacity.
  • Additionally, buses will operate at half capacity.

Chhattisgarh

  • Processions, demonstrations, and public activities are prohibited.
  • Social, cultural, and sports gatherings are prohibited.
  • Clamp down in districts having an infection incidence of greater than 4%.
  • Schools in the district were closed due to an infection incidence of higher than 4%.
  • One-third of the population is admitted to malls, cinema halls, restaurants, and gyms.

Karnataka

  • From Friday, a weekend curfew will be in effect.
  • For the following two weeks, a weekend curfew has been enforced.
  • From 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., there is a night curfew.
  • Restaurants, taverns, and movie theatres will operate at half capacity.
